Sauter The Sauter company was started in 1819 by Johann Grimm, a young carpenter who had just finished a 6 year apprenticeship at the famous Streicher workshops. Through the years the company has evolved into one of the premiere piano builders in the world today. Throughout it's history, the Sauter company has focused on "manufacturing" not "mass-producing" pianos. This philosophy has kept the Sauter piano at the top in quality and in value. They are known for their full bodied rich sound, and their superior woodwork and crafstmanship. The diverse selection of styles in Sauter's lineup is a tribute to their willingness to please and their "whole-piano" philosophy. There is just as much attention paid to the asthetic properties of the piano as there is to it's construction and design. This can also be seen in Sauter's willingness to do custom orders ranging from wood accents to finishes exactly matching home decorations and furniture. Seen here is a grand from the "Maly" collection, named after it's desinger: Peter Maly. Manufacturer Link: Sauter |
